Senior Accountant
Our client supplies replacement parts and accessories for all types of brands pertaining to Ground Support Equipment (GSE) on a worldwide basis. MAIN
Responsibilities:
Month End Reporting - Oversee all month end closing tasks including but not limited to closing journal entries and account analyses. Financial statement preparation and review month end variance against budget explanations for multiple companies. Financials - Analyze all balance sheets and P&L accounts for all assigned companies. Prepare reconciliations for all significant balance sheets accounts including cash, prepaid assets, fixed assets, intangible assets, inventory, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Issue monthly branch P&Ls for comments by Operations and Senior management. Present monthly results to senior management. Budget -Support the development of the yearly budget and review actual financials against budget. Audit - Prepare all working papers requested for audits and tax return/provision including but not limited to (Year-end statutory statements, Income Tax, Sales tax). Tax - File monthly sales tax returns, Canadian PST/GST returns and VAT returns. Other- Assist management with day-to- day operation of the accounting department and special projects as needed. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA certification preferred Five to Seven years' experience in Accounting Public Accounting experience preferred Experience with multi locations, multi currencies and companies a plus Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities Self-starter who is result driven that can meet deadlines International (IRFS) experience a plus Highly organized with great attention detail Ability to thrive in fast paced work environment Proven interpersonal skills, professional demeanor Strong knowledge of Excel Experience with a large ERP system (Prophet 21 - Epicor) preferred Bilingual with Spanish a plus
Salary Range:
$80K -- $90K
