is currently looking to hire a Production Assistant at our Plainview NY facility.
Our factory specializes in producing custom and precision plastic, fiberglass and rubber components for aerospace, defense, and electronics manufacturers.
The position will initially entail operating manual machinery such as drill presses, milling machines, and lathes, product assembly & monitoring of product quality.
This is an entry level position and on the job training will be provided, however applicants must be detail oriented, be reliable, and enjoy working with tools and machines.
Experience reading and working with blueprints is preferred but not required, however applicants are expected to be organized and detail oriented.
There is room for career advancement within the organization including potential for training in other areas of operation including quality control and inspection, 2D & 3D CAD, tool and die making, and setup & programming for our CNC mills, lathes, laser cutter, and 3D printers.
This job is a good opportunity for anyone interested in a career in manufacturing, or engineering.
Starting pay will be in the $20.
00-$23.
00 per hour range.
With consideration being made for past experience or education.
Scheduling can be flexible but we are looking for someone who can work at least 35 hours per week.
Overtime hours are available each week if desired.
We offer 3 weeks paid vacation.
